The Holden Chamber Ensembles is a subset of the larger Holden Choruses, and is designed to give students already involved with one of the Harvard choral groups the opportunity to prepare and perform vocal chamber music. The members of the HCE develop skills as both soloists and ensemble musicians throughout the rehearsal process, attention is given to good vocal production, ensemble blend and diction, along with issues of historical performance practice. Recent concerts of the HCE have included a performance of selections from Heinrich Schütz's Kleine Geistliche Konzerte and a progam of music from the Eton Choirbook.
